Nature of our business:

Elected medical staff leaders representing over 2,600 physicians with admitting privileges at North Shore University Hospital located in Manhasset.  Provide communications to the hospital's medical staff and deal with quality of care and medical staff issues at the hospital.

North Shore University Hospital Medical Staff Society Mission Statement

The purpose of the Staff Society shall be:

To promote, provide and support medical education in order to maintain the highest scientific and educational standards.

To maintain the highest professional standards among its members.

To provide representation from its membership to the Medical Board, Credentials and Joint Committees.

To act as a spokesperson for the interests of the Active Medical Staff.

To promote social and professional fellowship among its members.
